How to Add new content that aligns with search trends and user intent?

There's a ceiling on how far you can take existing content. At some point, the only way to capture new keywords is to create pages that specifically target them.

The question isn't whether to create new content — it's which keywords deserve a dedicated page and which ones can be covered by adding a section to something that already exists.

The rule I use: if a keyword has its own clear search intent that's meaningfully different from any existing page on the site, it deserves its own page. If it's closely related to something you already cover, add it there instead of creating a thin new page.

Finding what to write. Start in Google Search Console. Go to Performance → Queries. Look for keywords where you rank between position 15 and 50. You're already appearing for these terms — you're just too far down to get real traffic. A dedicated page targeting each one properly could move them into the top 10.

Use the free keyword research tool to check search volume before building a page around a keyword. A term with 20 monthly searches might not justify a dedicated page. One with 400 searches and reasonable competition is worth the effort.

On Webflow, new content goes into the relevant CMS collection. Keep your site architecture clean — don't create standalone static pages for every piece of content when a collection item handles it better.

Content quality matters more than volume. One 600-word page that genuinely answers a specific question will outrank three 150-word pages that say roughly the same thing. Google has been consistent on this for years, and the sites that rank well have pages that go deeper than the competition.

One new piece per month, targeted at a specific keyword with clear search intent, adds up. After 12 months, you have 12 new indexed pages each competing for their own keyword. That compounds.

How to do it on Webflow?

  • Use Google Trends, Ahrefs, or Semrush to identify new keyword opportunities.
  • Publish content in Webflow CMS and optimize it multiple keywords.
